We hope you’re enjoying the sunshine, good games, and the sense of community that makes Palmas so special. As we move into May, we have some exciting events, announcements, and a few great deals we think you’ll love — so let’s dive in!

Round Robin This Sunday – May 4

Looking to get some great play in before the tournament? This Sunday, May 4th, we’ll be hosting a 3.5+ Round Robin starting at 8:00 AM, run by the always-energetic Pete Fagan.

Season Finale Tournament – May 17 & 18

Let’s go out with a bang! Our Season Finale Tournament is coming up the weekend of May 17–18, and we’d love to see as many of you out there as possible.

Saturday will feature Men’s and Women’s Doubles
Sunday will be dedicated to Mixed Doubles

This tournament is geared toward 3.5–4.0 level players, and as always, everyone is welcome to spectate or come cheer on their friends.

Entry fees:

Members: $20 for your first event, $5 for second event.
Non-members: $30 for the first event, $15 for second event.

You can sign up at the Member Services Desk, and we’ll help you get registered.

Meet Our New Director of Events: Susie Frazier

We’re thrilled to introduce Susie Frazier, our new Director of Events & Social Activities here at Palmas!

Susie was born in New Orleans and moved to Los Barriles two years ago. After retiring from a 20-year career with United Airlines, she quickly became known around town for her passion for hosting fun gatherings and her warm, community spirit. Married to her high school sweetheart Scott for over 30 years, Susie has fully embraced the pickleball lifestyle and is already diving headfirst into planning an incredible upcoming season of events.

She’s got big plans to make Palmas not only your pickleball home but also your favorite social hub. Here’s just a taste of what’s coming for the 2025/26 season:
